The Best Napa Valley Gifts for Dads

June 21 is Father’s Day, y’all. And, while there’s no better way to celebrate your main man than a spring visit to the Napa Valley, doesn’t he deserve a little something more for all his wonderfulness? No matter where you’re based in the valley, there are plenty of options to find a thoughtful gift for the Big Guy.

Napa

Scott Lyall – If Dad is a snappy dresser – or especially if he needs a little help in the closet area – this chic shop has a beautiful selection of men’s apparel and accessories, featuring European and American brands like Haupt, Autumn Cashmere, Carlos Santana Hats.

Napa Cigars and Napa Valley Wine and Cigar –Does your guy loves stogies? Then Napa Cigars will be his idea of heaven. The shop has such an elegant, manly vibe, so you might want to give him a gift certificate so he can browse and select his favorite smokes in comfort. Both Napa Cigars and Napa Valley Wine and Cigar also offer wines by the glass, for a completely decadent afternoon.

Yountville

Overland Sheepskin Company – Here you can find a wide selection of jackets, boots, gloves, hats and bags made of yummy leather and sheepskin.

St. Helena

Napa Soap Company – Shop here for beautiful shaving sets and the Napa Man line of products, which feature yummy ingredients like wine, grape-seed oil, honey, aloe vera and French clay.

Mario’s – This tiny shop is packed with elegantly curated menswear, beautiful jackets and shirts. Great personal service, too.

Heaven & Earth –While the general vibe here is definitely girly, Heaven & Earth also carries a full line of Jack Black hair, body, and skincare products, as well as American Crew hair products and some male fragrances. They have a hair salon in the back, so why not book your man an appointment for a new look?

Sportago – A gift certificate to this store, an authorized Patagonia dealer, would allow Dad to browse among the full men’s line as well as other outdoor brands as Victorinox. They also have a wide selection of shoes, hats, backpacks, water bottles, and other outdoorsy accessories.

Kings X – Take Dad to this old-fashioned barber shop for a “shave and a haircut” (though it will cost more than “two bits”) – complete with hot towels on the face. Mory, the proprietor, consistently receives five-star reviews on Yelp. Appointments are recommended.

Calistoga

A Man’s Supply – This elegant shop is a retailer of outdoor clothing and gear, featuring rugged outerwear, sportswear, and travel clothing for men by top brands such as Filson, North Face, Woolrich, and Ray-Ban.

Valley-wide

Massage and facial – If all else fails, what man wouldn’t appreciate a relaxing massage or facial while staying in the Napa Valley? There are great spas throughout the valley, including Health Spa Napa Valley, Meritage Resort and Spa, Solage, Indian Springs, and many others.
